We service our brands at our facilities. We do not offer onsite support, but can assist with issues by phone or email. Warranty repairs require prior authorization and proof of purchase. Non-warranty repairs incur diagnostic and labor fees and customers must handle shipping and crating. South Bend machines made before 2008 are not eligible for repair.
If your Grizzly-brand machine needs repair or you have a technical question, our trained Product Specialists can often walk you through minor adjustments or repairs by phone or email.
When contacting us, please have the following information ready (if available):
- Order number
- Machine serial number
- Manufacture date (listed on the machine’s data plate)
For warranty-related repairs, see: How Do I Submit a Warranty Claim?
Repair Services Overview
We provide repair services at both of our facilities. Please note:
- We only service our brands (Grizzly, Shop Fox, and 2008 and later South Bend).
- We do not offer onsite repairs - machines must be brought in or shipped to us.
- A repair authorization is required before sending or bringing in a machine.
Parts Availability
- Replacement parts are available for purchase while a machine is in production and for at least 5 years after a model is discontinued.
- If a part is no longer in production, we’ll check remaining inventory or look for a compatible substitute.
Repair Process & Timing
- Repairs are completed in the order received.
- Turnaround time depends on the inspection results and parts availability.
- After inspection, you’ll receive a repair quote for approval before any work begins.
- We’ll provide status updates throughout the repair process.
How do I get my machine to you for repair?
We offer multiple options for getting your machine to our facility for repair.
Drop-offs
- We recommend bringing machines directly to one of our facilities.
- While this avoids shipping delays, same-day repairs cannot be guaranteed.
Shipping & Crating
All Repairs
- If you choose to ship your machine, you are responsible for securely crating it to prevent shipping damage.
- We do not provide crates or cover packaging costs.
Non-Warranty Repairs
- Machines over 70 pounds must be crated and shipped via an LTL freight carrier.
- Grizzly is not responsible for arranging the carrier—you must arrange and pay for shipping both ways.
- Most carriers do not insure used machines, so check with your carrier for options.
- Grizzly does not endorse any specific carrier—we provide contact details for convenience only.
- Grizzly is not responsible for lost or damaged shipments.

Is there a fee associated with non-warranty repairs?
Yes, labor and part charges apply when repairing machines no longer under warranty:
- Diagnostic fee: $50/hour (waived if repair is completed)
- Labor rate: $95/hour + cost of parts
- Quick checks (under 5 minutes): Free
Because costs vary by machine and condition, estimates are provided only after inspection. No work begins without your approval.
