The flush trimmer operation involves adjusting the upper and lower trimmers to ensure proper alignment with the edge banding tape and the board. The support attached to the panel feeder controls the height of the upper flush trimmer in relation to the panel feeder. Dial indicators on the back of the flush trimmer show adjustments for the upper and lower trimmers, which can be made to trim the top or bottom edge of the tape as needed. If troubleshooting is required, first ensure proper alignment of the edge banding tape with the board. If adjustments are needed, break the lock nuts loose on the flush trimmer, adjust the cap screws in a clockwise direction to raise or lower the trimmers, and reset the dial indicators accordingly. If the lower cutter head isn't making contact, check the locking collar below the lower cutter head for proper positioning. If adjustments to the upper trimmer have no effect, adjustments can be made from the upper screw assembly by releasing the lock nut and adjusting the screw.
