Troubleshooting Edge Banding Tape Misalignment
Identifying the Problem
- Remove the cover assembly for better access to components.
Adjusting the Seat Assembly:
- Locate adjustment points: Identify the bolts on the front and rear of the seat assembly.
- Remove or add washers: Adjust the height of the seat assembly by adding or removing washers from the bolts.
- Center the assembly: Ensure the seat assembly is centered with the edge banding tape.
Checking the Pressure Roller:
- Identify loose roller: If the stationary pressure roller is loose, it will affect tape alignment.
- Remove assembly: Remove the four mounting cap screws from the bottom and two additional screws from the back of the assembly.
- Tighten components: Reassemble the pressure roller assembly after tightening any loose components.
Adjusting the Feed Roller Assembly:
- Remove infeed fence: Remove the two mounting bolts securing the infeed fence.
- Access feed roller assembly: Remove the two mounting bolts on the front and one on the back of the feed roller assembly.
- Inspect and repair: Inspect the rack and pinion assembly for any damage or wear.
- Reassemble: Reinstall the feed roller assembly and infeed fence.
Additional Tips:
- Regularly inspect components: Check for wear and tear on all parts of the edge banding system.
- Clean the machine: Remove any glue residue or debris that could affect performance.
- Test different edge banding types: Some edge banding materials may require specific adjustments.
By following these steps and carefully inspecting the components, you can effectively troubleshoot and correct edge banding tape misalignment issues on your machine.
