How to Easily Change Your Dust Collector Bag

Materials:

• New dust collector bag
• 3-4 rare earth magnets
• Dowel rod (optional)
• CA glue (optional)

Tools:

• None required

Instructions:

1. Prepare your magnets:

   • If desired, glue a rare earth magnet to the end of a dowel rod using CA glue. Allow the glue to dry completely.
   • Alternatively, you can use the rare earth magnets on their own.

2. Remove the old bag:

   • Unfasten the metal strap holding the old bag in place.
   • Remove the old bag from the dust collector.

3. Insert the new bag:

   • Position the new dust collector bag in the collector housing.

4. Use magnets to hold the bag in place:

   • Place the rare earth magnets (or magnet-tipped dowel rods) on the inside of the collector housing, near the top of the bag. The magnets will temporarily hold the bag in place while you secure it.

5. Secure the bag:

   • Fasten the metal strap around the bag and collector housing to secure it in place.

6. Remove the magnets:

   • Carefully remove the magnets from the collector housing.

Tips:

• If you have trouble removing the magnets, use a non-magnetic tool to gently pry them loose.
• Experiment with the placement of the magnets to find the optimal position for holding the bag securely.

By using rare earth magnets, you can significantly reduce the risk of tearing your dust collector bag while installing it.
