- Safety first: Disconnect the saw from the power source.
- Remove accessories: Take off the saw blade fence and switch.
- Access bearing housing: Remove the table, noting the position of any shims.
- Remove belts: Take off the V-belts one at a time.
- Remove blade shroud: Lift the motor to access the geared bearing housing.
- Remove housing: Loosen the cap screw and remove the bearing housing with an assistant.
- Remove pulley screws: Take out the set screws from the pulley.
- Remove bearing cap: Remove the bearing cap.
- Remove lock nut: Remove the left-handed lock nut.
- Remove arbor: Tap the arbor out of the outer bearing using a rubber deadblow hammer.
- Remove remaining bearing: Use a rubber deadblow hammer and a wooden block to remove the bearing from the arbor and housing.
- Seat first bearing: Use a wooden block or socket to seat the new bearing in the housing.
- Seat second bearing: Use a drilled wooden block and a rubber deadblow hammer to seat the second bearing on the arbor.
- Install components: Assemble the arbor, spacers, and key.
- Secure pulley: Install the pulley and tighten the set screws.
- Reinstall bearing cap: Replace the bearing cap and tighten the lock nut.
- Reattach housing: Slide the bearing housing back onto the shaft and secure it with the cap screw.
- Reinstall components: Put back the blade shroud, V-belts, table, and accessories.
- Test operation: Perform a test run to check for any issues.
