1. Disconnect power: Unplug the sander from the power source.
2. Gather tools: Assemble the replacement sandpaper roll, 5mm hex wrench, drum holding pin, utility knife, and straight edge.

3. Remove dust hood: Unscrew the cap screw securing the dust collection hood and swing it upward.

4. Release clamps: Push the clamping device on the right side of the drum to release the sandpaper.
5. Unwind the sandpaper: Unwind the sandpaper strip from the drum until you reach the left-side clamp.
6. Release left clamp: Lift the clamping device on the left side to release the sandpaper.
7. Remove sandpaper: Remove the old sandpaper from the drum.

8. Cut sandpaper: Use the old sandpaper or the pattern in the manual to cut the new sandpaper to size.
9. Insert sandpaper end: Lift the right-side clamping device and insert one end of the new sandpaper into the slot.
10. Secure sandpaper: Release the clamping device to hold the sandpaper in place.
11. Wrap sandpaper: While maintaining tension, wrap the sandpaper around the drum, leaving a 1/8 inch gap between edges.
12. Secure the other end: Move the right-side clamping device forward, insert the holding pin, and press the spring lever to secure the sandpaper.
13. Remove holding pin: Remove the holding pin and release the clamp.

14. Close dust hood: Secure the dust collection hood with the cap screw.
15. Reconnect power: Plug the sander back in.
