This video demonstrates how to align the table on G0555 series band saws.
We've included step-by-step instructions below so you can follow along.
How to Align Your G0555 Series Bandsaw Table
Safety First:
- Always unplug the bandsaw before making any adjustments.
Aligning the Table:
1. Check Side-to-Side Alignment:
- Loosen the knobs at the bottom of the table to allow for side-to-side movement.
- Use a square to ensure the table is perpendicular to the blade.
- Adjust the table until the square shows a perfect 90-degree angle.
- Tighten the knobs to secure the table in position.
2. Check Front-to-Back Alignment:
- Loosen all trunnion bolts securing the table to the saw.
- Use shims (or thin pieces of aluminum can) to adjust the table's front-to-back position.
- Add or remove shims as needed to achieve proper alignment.
- Tighten the trunnion bolts to secure the table.
Note: Once the front-to-back alignment is correct, it typically won't require further adjustment.
By following these steps, you can ensure that your bandsaw table is properly aligned for accurate cuts and safe operation.
Tip: Regularly check the table alignment for any changes over time.
