This video details the assembly of the G0634X Planer Jointer.

Preparation:
- Review Manual: Read the provided user manual or access the online version on Grizzly.com.
- Gather Support: Familiarize yourself with Grizzly's technical support for any questions.
Uncrating and Positioning:
- Identify Lifting Points: Locate the three machine attachment points for lifting hooks or slings, if necessary.
- Unbolt from Pallet: Unbolt the machine and position it on a suitable base (mobile base available on Grizzly.com).
Cleaning:
- Remove Rust Preventative: Use a degreaser to remove the heavy-duty rust-preventative coating on unpainted surfaces.
- Caution: Avoid overspray on painted parts as it may cause damage.
- Clean Tables: Remove shipping braces, unlock and lift the jointer tables for cleaning. Repeat on the planer table below.
Outfeed Table Adjustment:
- Access Motor Panel: Remove the rear motor panel for access to the belt pulley.
- Level Outfeed Table: Use a straightedge to adjust the outfeed table until it's level with the top dead center of the cutter head inserts.
- Rotate and Check Contact: Rotate the cutter head with the motor belts and ensure light contact with the straightedge.
- Adjust the outfeed table as needed.
Final Assembly:
- Install Guard: Install the cutter head guard assembly and tighten the lock knob for proper spring action.
- Connect Power: Install the locking L6-30 plug and connect the machine to power.
Test Run:
- Emergency Stop: Rotate the emergency stop button clockwise and turn on the machine. Verify smooth operation.
- Power Off Test: Shut off the machine with the emergency stop button and verify it doesn't start when the button is pressed in.
Completion:
Your G0634X jointer planer is now assembled, cleaned, and ready for a test run.
