What is the difference between the G1022SM Table Saw and the other G1022Z and G1022ZF Table Saws?
The G1022SM features stamped metal wings that are just as true and rigid as the cast iron wings, but without the extra weight. The G1022Z and G1022ZF models include additional features, such as upgraded fences and larger motors.
What is the maximum stack dado head width I can use with this saw?
The saw arbor will accommodate a stack of 13/16".
How do I install a dust hood on this machine?
Our G2480 Dust Hood will fit with a plywood or sheet metal adapter mounted between the saw body and stand. Make the adapter the same size as the top of the stand, and center the dust hood on the adapter. Cut a square hole in the adapter that is the same size as the inside flange of the dust hood. Pre-drill and mount the dust hood to the adapter with sheet metal screws.
What is the maximum width of cut to the right of the blade with the standard and extension rails?
With the standard rails, the maximum width of cut is 24". With the optional extension rails, the maximum width of cut is 48".
Is there a larger motor available?
Yes, the G1022SM accepts all 3450 RPM motors with a NEMA-56 frame and a 5/8" shaft.
Can I order this machine without the motor?
No. The labor cost to remove the stock motor would offset any savings realized if you were able to buy this machine without the motor. We suggest you privately sell the stock motor if you want to change the motor.
What are the CFM requirements for a dust collector?
A dust collector should handle at least 450 CFM for a 10" table saw. This is an average number, but it depends on many factors, such as the length of hose to the dust collector and the overall efficiency of your dust collection system.
Can I put an upgraded after-market fence on this saw?
Yes. The table is a standard 27" deep. Some aftermarket fences may require modifications to mount the rails.
Which way does the blade tilt?
The blade tilts to the right as you face the saw from the operator's position.
