Can I run moulding knives in my G1017 Planer?
No. There isn’t enough clearance around the cutterhead, nor is there enough adjustment in the infeed roller to run moulding knives.
Will the G1017 run on 220 volts?
No. The G1017 is designed to run on 110 volts only.

What are the CFM requirements for a dust collector?
The CFM requirements vary due to factors like distance to the collector, wood moisture content, and depth of cut. For a distance of 10 feet or less, a dust collector with 450 CFM might suffice. However, when selecting a dust collector, bigger is always better for more effective dust collection.
Will this planer bog down on hardwoods?
No, don’t let the planer’s small size fool you. It has been tested on some of the toughest hardwoods and performs exceptionally well without bogging down.
