- What is the difference between the G1019 bandsaw and the G1019Z bandsaw?
Both of these bandsaws are similar; however, the Z model has some extra features. The G1019Z has two speeds instead of one, a deluxe stand and a machined, cast iron fence. - Does this machine have a dust port?
Yes. The G1019Z has a 2" dust port. - Can this machine be wired tor 220V?
Yes. The motor can be rewired for 220V. No change to the switch is required. The provided switch is 110V/220V. This unit does not use a magnetic switch. - Can I use this bandsaw for resawing?
You can resaw to a limited degree. The limits to resawing are a function of motor size, blade style, type of wood and maximum cutting height. Remember, this bandsaw is not a resaw machine. - ls the slow speed for metal cutting?
No. To cut metal, the blade speed generally needs to be 250 feet per minute and slower depending on the metal. The blade speeds on this machine are 2500 and 3350 FPM. - What's the difference between the skip, hook and raker toothed blades?
Skip tooth blades have widely spaced teeth to prevent clogging. This is good for straight cuts like ripping. Hook tooth blades have 10' rake angle which causes the blade to cut more aggressively. This type of blade cleans out fast and is best for resawing. Raker tooth blades have teeth that are offset to the left and right. This blade is best for cutting circles and contours. - Can I increase the maximum cutting height?
Yes, the G1127 increased the height by 6” and the G4406 will increase it by 4”.
