Skip tooth blades have widely spaced teeth to prevent clogging. This is good for straight cuts like ripping. Hook tooth blades have 10 degree rake angle which causes the blade to cut more aggressively. This type of blade cleans out fast and is best for resawing. Raker tooth blades have teeth that are offset to the left and right. This blade is best for cutting circles and contours.
