You can use your own recognized freight carrier for order pickup and delivery, but you must call to place your order—online orders and “Pick Up in Store” are not allowed for this option. Grizzly coordinates carrier pickup, and any claims for damage must be filed directly with your carrier. Special rules apply for non-freight items, freight forwarders, and international shipments.
Yes! You are welcome to use your own freight carrier to pick up and deliver your order. Please review the guidelines below to ensure a smooth and accurate shipping experience.
What Counts as an “Own Carrier”?
Your order qualifies as Own Carrier when you arrange pickup and transportation through a recognized freight carrier, such as:
- FedEx Freight
- Dayton Freight
- TForce
- R+L Carriers
- Any other established freight carrier
Important Ordering Requirements
Do Not Place Your Order Online or Select “Pick Up in Store”
Orders shipping with your own carrier require special handling and cannot be placed online.
Please do not select “Pick Up in Store” during checkout.
This option is only for customers physically picking up their orders themselves.
➡️ To use your own carrier, you must call us to place your order.
This ensures your shipment is processed correctly and avoids delays.
Do Not Send Your Carrier to Us
Please do not dispatch your carrier on your own.
We will contact your carrier directly and schedule the pickup as soon as your shipment is ready.
If a driver arrives early, before your order has been released from our warehouse, we may have to turn them away—this could result in additional charges from your carrier.
Orders Containing Both Freight & Non‑Freight Items
If your order includes both freight items and small‑parcel (non‑freight) items:
- Small items will ship separately, and
- We can ship non‑freight items using:
- Your UPS account, or
- Standard shipping rates (billed to you)
Note: We do not ship via FedEx Ground.
Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico & U.S. Virgin Islands
If you would like to use your own freight carrier to ship to these locations:
- Payment must be made using secured funds (wire transfer).
- Alternatively, you may ship your order to a freight forwarder.
If Using a Freight Forwarder:
- Orders must ship from us to the forwarder using our carrier.
- Freight forwarders cannot pick up in the showroom.
- Freight forwarders cannot be used as an Own Carrier.
Shipping Into Canada

All the same rules and requirements listed above apply.
