Check the box labeled “My order is Tax Exempt.” You only need to do this once per shipping address.

If you skip this step your order will be processed and shipped with sales tax applied.
What to Expect
Approval Timeline
Approval typically takes 1–2 business days, but is often completed within a few hours.
During Checkout (Before Approval)
Sales tax may still appear at checkout. This is normal and does not prevent you from placing your order.
After Approval
- Your exemption will be applied to your final invoice
- In most cases, no refund is needed, as tax is adjusted before your card is charged
Future Orders (After Approval)
Sales tax will no longer appear when:
- You are logged in with the same email address
- You use the same approved shipping address

Already Placed an Order Without Documentation?
Submit your exemption certificate as soon as possible.
If you placed your order online and did not upload your documentation during checkout, we will need to manually send you a submission request so your certificate can be properly linked to your account. This step is required before we can review your exemption or process any potential tax adjustment.
Sales tax refunds are time-sensitive and governed by state deadlines. If the tax has already been remitted to the state, we will no longer be able to issue a refund, and you will need to request it directly from your state’s tax authority.
Refund Timing
- Refunds are processed within approximately two weeks after approval
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- For cash, check, or wire payments, a refund check will be mailed
Washington State Non-Resident Exemptions
Effective July 1, 2019:
Non-residents are no longer exempt from Washington sales tax for showroom purchases in Bellingham.
