How to Submit Your Tax-Exempt Certificate
Exemption certificates must be submitted in our tax portal. The portal will guide you through the process of filling out the form to ensure you provide the correct documentation the first time. If you prefer, you'll also have the option of uploading your existing form to our portal.

Certificate Review
Once submitted, your certificate will be reviewed for accuracy. If any corrections are needed, we’ll contact you by email.

During Checkout

Check the box labeled “My order is Tax Exempt.”

This only needs to be done once per shipping address.

If your certificate hasn’t yet been approved for the shipping state, sales tax will still appear at checkout.

Once approved:

Tax will be automatically removed from all orders shipping to that state.

You’ll see your exemption status and expiration date during checkout.

Non-Resident Exemptions in Washington
Effective July 1, 2019:
Non-residents are no longer exempt from Washington sales tax when purchasing from our Bellingham showroom.

Sales tax will be charged at the time of purchase.

You may submit a refund request for the state portion (6.5%) of the sales tax directly to the Washington State Department of Revenue.
Refund Requirements:

Minimum of $25.00 in state sales tax paid

Limit of one refund request per person per calendar year
