Can I run this on single-phase power?
No. This machine requires 3-phase power. If you only have single-phase power, you will need a phase converter such as the Grizzly G7979.

What size circuit breaker do I need?

• 220V operation → 30 Amp breaker

• 440V operation → 15 Amp breaker

Can I convert this to 440V?
Yes. With the P7215Z300 Voltage Conversion Kit, this machine can be converted to 440V operation.

What type of plug and cord should I use?
For 220V operation, use an L15-30 plug with a 10 AWG, 4-wire “S”-type cord.

Spindle & Cutterhead Questions

What spindle sizes are included?
This shaper comes with 3/4", 1", and 1-1/4" spindles.

What is the maximum cutter height?
The spindle will accept a cutterhead up to 5" tall.

What is the maximum cutter diameter?
The maximum cutter diameter is 5-7/8".

What is the spindle travel?
The spindle travel is 3-1/4".

How is the spindle held in place?
The spindle is secured with a threaded drawbar running through the drive spindle.

Is a router bit spindle available?
No. This model does not accept a router bit spindle.

How do I know what speed to use?

• Smaller cutters / softer woods → faster speeds

• Larger cutters / harder woods → slower speeds
