Why do some machines list 220V, 230V, or 240V? Aren’t they the same?
Yes and no.
- Yes, because all these voltages work on the same nominal power supply, so you don’t need to worry as a consumer.
- No, because official nominal voltages vary by country:
- USA: 240V
- Taiwan: 220V
- China: 230V
Power companies guarantee ±5% of nominal voltage, and motor manufacturers guarantee operation at ±10% of the nameplate voltage.
We list the actual motor nameplate voltage for accuracy.

How hard is it to convert to a spiral cutterhead?
About one hour. We have a video guide to help with the process.
What’s the difference between G0453 and G0453Z?

- G0453: Comes with three 1/8" HSS knives
Otherwise, they’re the same.
What’s the difference between G0453 and G0453W?
- G0453: 3 HP motor, 15A draw, 4800 RPM cutterhead speed
- G0453W: 3 HP motor, 12A draw, 5000 RPM cutterhead speed
Other than these specs and appearance, they’re identical.
