What power does the G1067Z require?
This lathe runs on 110V, single-phase, 60 Hz power and comes prewired for 110V. It requires a 15-amp circuit and draws 8 amps under load. A 6 ft. power cord with NEMA plug is included.

No. However, Grizzly offers several turning chisel sets, including the G8963 (5-piece) and G8945 (8-piece).
What do I need to put a drill chuck in the tailstock?
The tailstock uses an MT#2 taper. To add a drill chuck, you’ll need an MT#2 arbor with a Jacobs® taper that matches the chuck. A good combination is the G1434 arbor with the G8224 ½" drill chuck.
Does the headstock have positive stops at 90° and 45°?
Yes. The headstock has positive stops at 0°, 45°, 90°, 135°, and 180°, and it can be locked in between these positions.
Is a safety shield available for this machine like the G1495?
No, a safety shield is not available for this model.
What is the thread size on the main spindle?
The main spindle is 1" x 12 TPI, right-hand.
Is there a motor bigger than the 1/2 HP that comes with the machine?
No. The G1067Z uses a special shaft and mount, so changing the motor is not feasible.
Can this lathe be fitted with 3- and 4-jaw chucks?
Yes. Grizzly offers the G1194 3-jaw chuck and G1082 4-jaw chuck for this lathe. You’ll also need the G3163 adaptor insert.
Is it hard to change speeds?
No. Simply turn on the machine, adjust the speed selector to the desired setting, and you’re ready to go.
