Can I run molding knives in my G7213 Planer? No, there isn't enough clearance around the cutterhead, nor is there sufficient adjustment in the infeed roller.
What type of feed rollers does it have? The infeed roller is a segmented steel roller, and the outfeed roller is a solid, smooth steel roller.
What size breaker do I need to operate this planer? A 30 Amp circuit breaker is required.
Where can I get a reducer to go from the 5" dust port on the machine to my 4" hose? We recommend that you run a 5" hose from the planer to your dust collector. If you need to reduce down due to a 4" dust collector inlet size, you can obtain a 5" to 4" stovepipe reducer from most hardware stores and then use a 4" hose to connect to the dust collector.
What are the CFM requirements for a dust collector? This is a difficult question to answer due to variables such as the distance to the collector, the moisture content of the wood, and the depth of cut. With a distance of 10 feet or less, you may be able to use a dust collector with as little as 450 CFM. However, when sizing a dust collector, bigger is generally better.
How are the planer knives adjusted? The planer knives are adjusted with jackscrews. However, adjustment springs are also supplied for those who prefer them over jackscrews.
How many knives are in the cutterhead? Three.
How fast does this planer feed lumber? 24 feet per minute.
