- What is the difference between tool steel and bi-metal blades?
Bi-metal blades are constructed of a high speed steel toothed edge welded to a standard alloy backing. These blades generally last much longer because bi-metal blades are more flexible. - What is the difference between the raker and variable pitch blades?
Variable pitch blades, or variation in tooth spacing result in smoother, faster and quieter cutting. Raker tooth blades are used for cutting thick, solid metal pieces. - What kind of oil do I use in the gear box?
The gear box on this machine requires 90 weight gear oil. - What type of cutting fluid should I use?
Any type of water soluble oil will work. Grizzly offers H9240 heady duty soluble machining fluid concentrate for heavy-duty applications. - What is the purpose of the swivel head?
