- Can I put a metal cutting blade on this saw?
No. This saw runs too fast for cutting metal. - Why does this machine have a cast-iron lower wheel and an aluminum upper wheel?
This arrangement provides a compromise between the desirable inertia created by a heavy cast iron wheel system once in motion and the heavy starting Amp load created by two cast iron wheels. Both upper and lower wheels are fully balanced with rubber tires. - Can this machine be wired for 110V?
No. The motor and switch are 220V only. - Why are the upper and lower blade guides different?
Due to space restrictions and to make guide adjustments easy, European-style roller guides are used under the table. - Can I use this bandsaw for resawing?
You can resaw to a limited degree. The limits to resawing are a function of motor size, blade style, type of wood, and maximum cutting height. Remember, this bandsaw is not a resaw machine. - Is an extension block kit available for this machine?
No. This machine has a one-piece formed steel body. - What's the difference between the skip, hook, and raker-toothed blades?
Skip tooth blades have widely spaced teeth to prevent clogging. This is good for straight cuts like ripping. Hook tooth blades have 10 10-degree rake angle, which causes the blade to cut more aggressively. This type of blade cleans out fast and is best for resawing. Raker tooth blades have teeth that are offset to the left and right. This blade is best for cutting circles and contours.
