No. The G1148 has a one-piece formed steel body, so extension blocks are not compatible.
24. Is the slow speed for metal cutting?
No. To cut metal, the blade speed generally needs to be 250 FPM or slower, depending on the metal. The G1148 runs at 2,500 and 3,350 FPM, which is too fast for metal cutting.
25. Can I put a bigger motor on this machine?
