Electrical
What are the power requirements for the G0441 Dust Collector?
The G0441 requires 220V, single-phase, 60 Hz power and draws 22 amps at full load. It should be connected to a 30-amp circuit and hardwired to a shutoff switch for safety.
Does the G0441 come with a plug or power cord?
No. The G0441 is designed to be permanently wired into your electrical system and does not include a cord or plug.
What type of switch does the G0441 use?
It uses a remote-controlled magnetic switch with overload protection. The included remote allows you to start and stop the machine from a distance.
Motor and Impeller
What type of motor does the G0441 have?
The dust collector features a 3 HP, TEFC capacitor-start induction motor rated for Class F insulation. It runs at 3450 RPM.
What size and type of impeller is used?
The impeller is a 15-1/2" radial fin steel impeller, designed to efficiently move large volumes of air while maintaining durability.
What is the airflow performance of this dust collector?
It produces 1654 CFM at 2.0 inches of static pressure, with a maximum static pressure of 14.2 inches at 0 CFM.
Cyclone and Filtration
How does the G0441 cyclone system work?
The two-stage cyclone design separates heavy particles and chips from fine dust. Larger debris drops into the 55-gallon drum, while finer dust passes through the impeller and is captured by the filter.
What type of filter does the G0441 use?
It includes a pleated cartridge filter made from BIA-certified spun-bond polyester, filtering 99.9% of particles between 0.2 and 2 microns.
Why is there a filtration range of 0.2–2 microns? Are there other filter options?
All filters are rated based on the range of particle sizes they trap. The standard G0441 filter is designed for wood dust only. The G0441HEP model is equipped with a HEPA filter, which filters down to 0.3 microns, also for wood applications.
How do I clean the filter?
The filter includes a gentle internal brush mechanism. Rotate the handle to loosen fine dust, which will fall into the clear plastic collection bag beneath the filter.
Collection Drum and Dust Disposal
What is the capacity of the collection drum?
The G0441 features a 55-gallon steel collection drum with casters for easy removal and disposal.
How many machines can the G0441 service at once?
It can collect from up to three machines simultaneously, depending on the ducting setup and airflow demand.
Can the collection drum or inlet cylinder be rotated?
Yes. The blower and barrel can rotate 360° for duct positioning. However, rotating the intake cylinder may reduce cyclone efficiency, allowing more large chips to reach the filter.
Replacement Parts and Accessories
Where can I get a replacement remote control?
The correct replacement is part number P0443005 (Remote Controller).
I need a replacement pull cord for the filter. What part do I need?
The pull cord is not sold separately. You’ll need the P0441032-2 Brush Upgrade Kit, which includes the correct replacement components.
Can I order an extra remote so I can control the unit from multiple locations?
We have not tested the system with multiple remotes. Please contact Product Support for assistance before purchasing additional remotes.
Can I purchase a 480V three-phase version of this dust collector?
No. The G0441 is only available as a 220V single-phase model. Machines are delivered pre-packaged from the factory and cannot be modified for alternate voltage or phase before shipment.
Construction and Design
What materials are used in the G0441 construction?
The dust collector features:
11-gauge steel blower housing
14-gauge steel cyclone body
Steel impeller
Steel collection drum
Powder-coated finish
What is the sound level of the G0441?
It operates at 83–85 dB, depending on load and setup.
Does the G0441 have an air ramp or neutral vane?
We are unsure what is meant by an air ramp or neutral vane. Please contact Product Support at 570-546-9663 for clarification and technical assistance.
Optional Equipment
Is there an optional stand for the G0441?
Yes. The H7509 Steel Stand is available as an optional accessory for mounting the blower assembly.
Can the G0441 be wall-mounted?
Yes. The blower design allows for wall mounting, giving you more flexibility in shop layout and ducting configuration.
General Use and Maintenance
What materials can this dust collector handle?
The G0441 is designed for wood dust and chips only. It should not be used with metal dust, plastic, or other materials.
How often should I clean the filter and empty the drum?
Frequency depends on use. For regular woodworking, inspect the filter and empty the drum every 10–20 hours of use or whenever suction decreases noticeably.
What type of recognition or certifications does this model have?
The G0441 is BIA certified, NRTL listed, and was an American Woodworker Editor’s Pick in 2006.
