Can I use a vacuum chuck with this lathe?
Yes, you can use a vacuum chuck as long as it fits the 1-1/4" x 8 TPI RH spindle thread or with a compatible adapter. We do not sell vacuum chucks.
Is there a wheel kit or mobile base for the G0995?
No, we do not offer a mobile base for this lathe. The footprint is too wide for a base to support it, and we recommend anchoring the machine to the floor or using machine mounts for maximum stability.
Does the foot switch have to be depressed to operate?
By default, the machine requires the foot switch to be engaged for operation. This feature can be disabled in the settings if desired.
What are the holes on the handwheel for?
The holes behind the handwheel are for ventilation and are not intended for mounting accessories.
What about the four drilled holes in the handwheel itself?
The holes in the handwheel are not designed for attachments such as larger handwheels or vacuum accessories. They are not threaded for mounting.
How many bearings are in the headstock?
The headstock contains one bearing on the rotor assembly. The rotor assembly is self-contained and may include additional internal bearings.
Is a copy attachment available for this lathe?
No, there is no copy attachment for the G0995. The T27313 copy attachment sits too low to work with this model. The G0995 includes a comparator feature for visual reference only.
Is there an option for a remote control box instead of the foot pedal?
No, the G0995 does not have a remote control option. It uses a foot pedal for spindle control.
