🌍 Manufacturing & Build Quality
Where is the G0495X Jointer made?
This jointer is manufactured in Taiwan.
What are the flatness tolerances for the infeed, outfeed, and fence?
- Table flatness (left to right): ≤ 0.008"
- Table flatness (front to back): ≤ 0.003"
- Fence flatness (left to right): ≤ 0.008"
- Fence flatness (top to bottom): ≤ 0.005"
⚙️ Cutterhead & Feed Options
What’s the difference between a helical head and a spiral head?
- Helical cutterheads have inserts mounted at a slight angle, producing a shearing action.
- Spiral cutterheads have inserts mounted perpendicular to the workpiece travel.
Does the G0495X have a helical or spiral head?
It features a helical cutterhead. The inserts are angled slightly, which may not be obvious in some images.
Can I add a power feeder to this jointer?
Power feeders are not typically used with jointers, and we do not recommend any specific models for this purpose.
đźšš Mobility & Base Options
Does this jointer have a mobile base?
No, we do not offer a mobile base for the G0495X. Its footprint is 45 3/4" x 15", which exceeds the capacity of our available bases.
Can I use the T28346 extension bars with a mobile base?
No, the T28346 bars only extend to 44", which is too short for the G0495X.
Is the T31563 “Build Your Own” mobile base a viable option?
We do not recommend using a mobile base due to the machine’s size and weight. Custom modifications (e.g., longer metal bars) are not supported.
Does the G0495X come with adjustable feet?
No, it is designed to sit flat on the floor and does not include adjustable feet.
📏 Dimensions & Space Requirements
What is the table height off the floor?
The table height is 31" from the floor.
How much space is needed behind the jointer?
Allow at least 24 1/2" from the front of the machine to the back wall. Extra space is recommended for maintenance access.
How long is the infeed table?
- Infeed table: 42 1/4"
- Outfeed table: 39 3/8"
What is a practical allowance for infeed length?
The minimum stock length is 10". Maximum length depends on the operator’s setup and handling capability.
