Does this planer have a carriage lock?
No, it doesĀ not include a carriage lock. However, aligning the table wings and properly supporting your workpiece can helpĀ minimize snipe.
Are the infeed and outfeed rollers rubber or steel?
They areĀ rubber-coatedĀ rollers.
Does it still come with a granite base table?

What is snipe?
Snipe is when a board isĀ cut deeper at the beginning or endĀ during planing. Itās caused by uneven pressure or poor support and can be reduced with proper setup and support.
How easy is it to install and set new knives?

There isĀ no specified minimum width. The hardness of your material is keyāsofter woods may chipĀ under roller pressure. UsingĀ sacrificial boardsĀ allows you to plane very thin workpieces.

The cutterhead hasĀ two spiral rowsĀ and includesĀ 30 carbide inserts.

Can I get a dust hood with the connection on the opposite side?
No, theĀ dust hood connection is fixedĀ and cannot be moved.
